Hi, I’m Brigitta

Why I started Simplivia Wealth

I’ve always believed that the value of advice should come from what’s happening in your life, not how much money you have. Two people with the same balance can have completely different goals, worries and decisions ahead of them, and good advice should reflect that.

Simplivia Wealth is built on that belief. We’re fully independent,
with no commissions, no percentage-based fees and no products
to push. Your fee reflects the work involved and
the difference it makes to your life.

It’s as simple as that.

About ten years ago, my husband took me orienteering on one of our first dates, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Orienteering involves racing across unfamiliar terrain with a map and compass, finding a series of orange-and-white control flags in order. You always know where the course ends. How you get there is up to you, and when you hit a creek or a steep gully you didn’t expect, you take a new bearing and keep going.

It’s taken me to some remarkable places in Europe and around Australia, including private farmland and remote mountaintops.

And, in many ways, it’s similar to financial advice.

You know where you’d like to end up. My job is to help you read the terrain, choose a smart route and adjust when life puts something unexpected in your path.

It’s even part of the thinking behind our name – Simplivia, a simpler way to get where you’re going.

There’s always more than one route….

A bit about me

I’ve been advising clients since 2017, first in Europe and then in Australia. Newcastle has been home for the past couple of years.

Along the way, I completed a Master of Economics and a Master of Financial Planning, and became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and an SMSF Specialist Adviser.

In 2022, I was proud to receive the Gwen Fletcher Memorial Award, which recognises the highest result in the CFP® certification unit (Gwen Fletcher is often called the first lady of financial advice because she helped set the standard for what quality advice looks like).

What I love most about my work is being part of my clients’ lives over the long term, from our first conversation to the regular check-ins and all the family news in between.

When I’m not at my desk or out orienteering, you’ll find me spending time with my family and our labradoodle, Paddington.
